Services Performed
- Engine – Codes P0420
- Catalyst Efficiency Low (B1) Review the mode 6 test results for both cat banks. The minimum test value is 32 for both banks. B1 result is 13 and B2 is 54. Road test and monitor the fuel trims and all four AF/O2 sensor readings. Confirmed that the B1 downstream O2 has too much lean/rich switch rate at cruise, indicating loss of B1 cat function. B2 is steady under cruise conditions. Need to replace the right side catalytic converter and the upstream A/F sensor on that side to ensure cat longevity. Looks like all sensors are original.
- Checked suspension for loose/worn parts. RF upper control arm bushings are totally gone, and LF not far behind. The lower ball joints have play, the left side being worse, and the lower control arm bushings are starting to deteriorate. Advise replace upper and lower arms both sides. Slight play in one sway bar end link, advise replace both with lower arms (included labor). LF wheel bearing is bad, has noise and play, wheel can be moved, bearing clunks. RF axle shaft bas blown inner boot. All of the suspension components appear to be original, including the shocks, which are OEM Bilstein/Nismo 4600 (Yellow body). None are leaking and actually feel okay on the road, but are likely weak just due to age and mileage. (rusty but not leaking(.
- Springs are inverted with vehicle on the ground. Spring eye and shackle bushings are worn out. Replace springs? Re-arc?
- CONTROL ARMS – Remove & Replace Upper Both Sides
- WHEEL HUB – Remove & Replace – Left Front
