- Performed fault code scan. Only one fault stored in engine control system, but it won't have anything to do with a stalling condition. P0326-knock sensor 1 circuit range or performance Check engine light is currently not on, but engine has excessive pinging on acceleration that is likely caused by lack of knock sensor signal. Knock sensor failure is common on this vehicle. Airbag light is on with fault code P1481-driver airbag resistance too high stage 2. Also note the steering wheel control buttons are inoperative. Likely needs clock spring replaced. So far the stalling problem has not occurred, unable to pinpoint. Most common cause of intermittent stall on these vehicles is crankshaft position sensor failure. Sensor failure is common between 90-100K miles.
