- There is a loud chirping noise coming from the top of the engine. The noise does not change much when the a/c clutch when turned on, when the engine oil cap and the PCV hose is removed. Engine oil level is good, no trouble codes. Found #2 and #3 cylinder spark plug wells are covered in soot. Tightened the plugs and the noise went away. Spark plug gap at .022 (spec .022 – .024)
