Crankshaft Position (CKP) And/Or Camshaft Position (CMP) Input Signal To The PCM Concerns Verified there is no signal from the CMP sensor. Flat line 5V output, no switching to 0V. Remove CMP from the synchronizer and found the sync has hit the CMP magnet and knocked it loose. Sync bushing worn out, causing excess play in shaft and contact occurred between shutter and CMP. Need to replace the synchronizer and CMP sensor. Need to remove heater hose pipe from the water pump to extract sync and to set up timing tool.
Change oil & filter. Top off all fluid levels. Check & adjust tire pressure. Visual inspection of hoses, belts, etc. Lube chassis.
Check charging system for proper output to battery. Load test battery. Charging 14v, found battery failed load test- battery dead. Needs battery. Remove and replace battery

Engine Coolant Pump Overspeed/Air In System – Not Current DTC. OBDII Permanent Codes ($0A) P1299
Cylinder head overtemp protection active Found cooling system is full and heater working normally. Found leak from the passenger side heater hose to core coupler. No other leaks found. Fault codes indicate that engine did overheat and the water pump was overspeed due to cavitation or from pump failure. Customer called and questioned about adding coolant. Confirmed coolant has been added more than once then system was normal. Cavitation suspect for the water pump fault code as it is operating normally at this time. Advise to replace both heater core hoses due to common coupler failure as well as the thermostat due to overheating occurrences.
Also includes replace Heater core inlet hose assy
