- Crankshaft Position (CKP) And/Or Camshaft Position (CMP) Input Signal To The PCM Concerns Verified there is no signal from the CMP sensor. Flat line 5V output, no switching to 0V. Remove CMP from the synchronizer and found the sync has hit the CMP magnet and knocked it loose. Sync bushing worn out, causing excess play in shaft and contact occurred between shutter and CMP. Need to replace the synchronizer and CMP sensor. Need to remove heater hose pipe from the water pump to extract sync and to set up timing tool.
- Change oil & filter. Top off all fluid levels. Check & adjust tire pressure. Visual inspection of hoses, belts, etc. Lube chassis.
- CAMSHAFT SYNCHRONIZER – Remove & Replace – V6 – [Includes: Replace Camshaft Position Sensor.]
