Passenger Early Crash Sensor Defect – – History Code Review the camshaft timing data while road testing. Found the actual intake cam timing value is erratic and very slow to follow the desired timing value set by PCM. VVT solenoid commands are also erratic trying t keep up with the commanded value. Found the engine oil VERY low, none on dipstick. LOF sticker shows 1,000 miles left before oil change. Added 2.5qt to bring to full mark. Road test again and found the VVT data is now smooth and tracks the commanded value perfectly. Intake VVT was erratic due to low oil condition causing aeration in the VVT actuators. Advise to do LOF now or ASAP to ensure oil is correct viscosity (not thinned out due to fuel contamination) and get a baseline of oil consumption and advise check oil more regularly. AIr bag light on, multiple codes, see above.
Change oil & filter. Top off all fluid levels. Check & adjust tire pressure. Visual inspection of hoses, belts, etc. Lube chassis. – Cabin filter dirty – Front tires 10/32 – Rear tires 11/32 – Front brakes 8mm – Rear brakes drums
Hazardous Waste Disposal Fee
Replace the cabin filter

– Spark plug gap at .35, spec .39-.43, Also look worn out – Engine bay full of rodent trash – Cabin filter dirty – Battery is borderline – Oil leak – need to clean area to pinpoint – Front tires to wear bars – Needs tires – Transmission fluid dirty – LR tires starting to cup – LF tire 4/32 RF tire 3/32 – Rear tires 6/32 Good: – Wipers, A/C, Lights, Air filter, Engine oil, Serpentine belt, Alternator, Front shocks and axles, Coolant hoses, Exhaust, Rear shocks, All fluids – all look good at this time
Confirm that steering coupler is making noise.
Remove four wheels and rear brake drums/rotors to inspect brake condition. Inspect entire system for leaks. – Front and rear brakes 6mm
`
Road test vehicle and dry, no evidence of leak at this time

Dropped off Monday, started Wednesday with no issue. Charging system okay, 14.3V. Set up battery cables for parasitic drain test. Initial drain measured at 370mA. Wait one hour for modules to sleep and recheck drain. Now sitting at 315mA. The maximum allowable is 50mA, but is typically much lower. Trace source of draw by pulling fuses one by one to see when drain goes away. Found all excess drain goes away with the "stop lamp" fuse pulled from interior fuse panel. This fuse feeds six different circuits. All six can be unplugged and drain doesn't change. One is the OBD II connector and nothing is plugged into it, but found there is a wire tapped into the back side of the connector that leads to an aftermarket GPS/tracker behind the left dash side cover. Found this unit is hot to the touch and has a melted spot in the case. Removed the cover and found that the internal LiPo battery has started to fail and melt. With this unit disconnected the drain is normal at 30mA. Tracker is a GPS and cellular device that can be tracked by an app or web service, sometimes used for asset tracking by finance companies. Removed unit, but left wiring. If desired the wiring can be removed as well, no additional labor.
Remove wiring
