    • Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected – – Pending DTC – Warning Lamp On. P0316-00
    • Misfire Detected On Startup (First 1000 Revolutions) – – Not Current DTC. Misfire history data shows faults only on #1. No hydrocarbons detected in the cooling system. Have not been able to duplicate misfire in shop or road test yet. Removed and tested the #1 ignition coil. Found good output at over 35kV, but when fully loaded the spark will arc out between the boot and the tester (where the plug would be). Carbon tracking noted on inside of boot. Inspected spark plug and noted tracking in the same spot on the plug and spark plug gap worn .003" over max gap range of .049-.053". #1 cylinder is on front bank, rear bank not accessible without intake plenum removal. Advise to replace spark plugs, install 3 new coils in rear bank (due to accessibility), and the coil boots on the front bank.
    • SPARK PLUGS – Remove & Replace – V6,Normally Aspirated

    • Failed due to permanent code P0455. EVAP monitor is also not complete.
    • P0455
    • EVAP System Leak Detected – Large Leak Fuel tank is too full to command the PCM to perform on-board gross leak test. Perform manual system tests with smoke/flow machine and scan tool output command functions. Confirmed the vent solenoid operation, clicks when commanded on and off. Connect smoke machine to purge hose at purge solenoid connection. Pressurize system and found zero leak indicated on flow gauge. Fuel tank pressure sensor responds correctly to pressure applied by tester and returns to ambient reading when vent is opened. Test the purge solenoid function and found no leakage, but when commanding flow/purge the solenoid stops flowing after 20-30 seconds and no vacuum passes. Solenoid can be tapped on and it will begin purging momentarily but stop again a few seconds later. This lack of consistent purge is being interpreted as a large leak due to the fuel tank not being able to reach the target vacuum for gross leak test satisfaction. Need to replace the purge solenoid. The vehicle will then need to be driven multiple days to enable the gross leak test to run on it's own three times without failure before the permanent code will auto-clear, at which point a smog re-test can be performed. Fuel tank level may need to be under 3/4 to enable the EVAP monitor.
    • Large leak test ran and passed multiple times and perm code cleared. EVAP monitor not complete due to small leak test not yet run. This test will occur during an overnight cold soak. Able to smog at this time.
    • Smog inspection – passed

Found the PCM software is outdated and performed update with FDJS software. ABS code U3000-49 does still reset. Performed IVD Initialization Procedure on ABS model to clear and reset zero points. Fault reset a short time later. Tested power and ground to ABS module, found normal. ABS module is failing. Troubleshooting chart is straight forward for U3000 code to replace and program module if power circuits test normal. ABS module is not sold separately on this design, supplied with complete HCU assy.
