Services Performed
- – Belt tensioner rattles again at idle in gear – Axle wobble on accell – left valve cover leaks – lower oil pan leaks – right front tire bald – shock/struts worn out – original – nothing loose in suspension – spark plugs good at .041
- Charging system is in a default mode where alternator is putting out a steady 13.2 volts. Battery light is on due to this fault. Alternator circuits test normal, alternator is faulty. Have not yet seen the no-start issue. May have faulty starter intermittently. Customer says does not crank. Engine has started fine when checking hot on Friday and road testing, as well as cold start 50 times on Monday AM.
- Horn relay and fuse okay. Testing at fuse (after relay) finds open circuit on both sides of fuse. Should show ground when horn is not being used due to continuity through horns. Access horns and found both of them are unplugged along with the millimeter wave radar sensor. Plug all in and they work normally.
- Remove four wheels and rear brake drums/rotors to inspect brake condition. Inspect entire system for leaks. Front brakes approx 80-85% remaining Rear brakes approx 40-45% remaining
- Also replace alternator and belt
- VALVE COVER GASKET – Remove & Replace – Left Side
- OIL PAN GASKET – Remove & Replace – Pan,Lower
- Change oil & filter. Top off all fluid levels. Check & adjust tire pressure. Visual inspection of hoses, belts, etc. Lube chassis.
