- Transmission Friction Element "A" Stuck On – Current DTC – Warning Lamp On Verified customer complaint. This is a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) that is essentially a manual gearbox that is shifted electronically. One of the two clutches is not working correctly. The first step in the diagnosis for this issue is to swap the two clutch actuators and see if the fault follows the actuator, or stays on clutch 'A'. Due to labor cost and relatively inexpensive cost of a new shift actuator, it's less expensive to simply replace actuator 'A' than to swap them and remove again for replacement. If problem remains on clutch 'A', then the issue is in the clutch assy and damper unit. After motor 'A' replace, ran the adaptation test and it failed again. The clutch unfortunately has an internal issue. Need to replace the clutch set, complete with actuator assemblies and would advise to also replace the other actuator motor. Also a small coolant bleeder hose broke when touched. Needs to get replaced.
