- Code scan shows no engine or transmission faults. Road test. At first trans shifted normally, then as it warmed up the pump began to whine. Gear shifts started flaring, and reverse was lost completely. Trans then went basically into neutral and truck would not move until the trans cooled a bit. No fuel smell, but the transmission is smoking out of the breather tube and the smell is of burnt clutch. Fluid is full and badly burnt. Needs transmission replaced and programmed.
