- Confirm cranks no start. Fuel pressure okay. Will start with supplemental fuel sprayed into intake. No injector pulse. Fault code P0340 Cam position sensor no signal. Test circuits to CMP, found okay. CMP sensor (Nissan calls it phase sensor) has failed. Engine will not start, or sometimes have very long start with failing CMP.
- Remove & Replace camshaft position sensor
- Change oil & filter. Top off all fluid levels. Check & adjust tire pressure. Visual inspection of hoses, belts, etc. Lube chassis.
