    • After 30 minute wait after shut down, the battery drain measured 12mA. Max allowable is around 50mA. Drain does not seem to be an issue. Alternator normal. When scanning for fault codes, noted there is an auxiliary OBD2 connector near factory connector. Plugged it into the vehicle connector and the aftermarket steering wheel came to life. Started engine, let everything sync, then shut down. After 30 minutes, the drain was 950mA, far exceeding the standard 50mA limit. Unplugged the steering wheel and drain dropped to 750mA, then stepped down over about 30 seconds to 12mA as all the modules on the network went to sleep. Steering wheel is keeping the network alive. Left the connector unplugged overnight to check starting in the AM. No issues starting in AM. Battery voltage normal. Something wrong with tail/turn/brake lights. Sometimes only center brake light works. Sometimes left brake/turn works. Right brake/turn not working at all. Suspect aftermarket lights not playing well with BCM that controls lights.
