    • Open or Short Circuit in Release Switch Circuit Tested cooling system for HC, none found. Radiator is full, topped tank to full cold mark. Inverter coolant level okay. Run engine in maintenance mode to test cooling system and monitor temp and fan speed command. Once hot, the fan speed command climbed to 100% and fan was inoperative. Temp continued to climb. Test fan electrical. Found good power to fan motor, but inconsistent ground. Ground would show normal on a low draw test light but would not drive a load like a light bulb. Trace ground circuit fault to loose ground bolt under the air cleaner assy. Based on all other fault codes that were stored in multiple systems as well as visible indicators, suspect vehicle just had collision repair performed, and bolt was accidentally left loose. After tightening ground the cooling system operation was normal. Triangle light was on at the time due to the A/C inverter load System malfunction fault code in the HVAC system. Loss of cooling fan operation caused A/C pressure got too high causing excess load on compressor.
