    • EVAP System Leak Detected (very small leak) P0457
    • EVAP System Leak Detected (fuel cap loose/off) Ran EVAP system function test. Failed and the ESIM switch never closed. Ran test again and removed cap while in vacuum and confirmed system was in a vacuum. Switch should have been closed. ESIM switch not closing will cause leak codes and gas cap light. Inspect ESIM and circuits. With ESIM connector jumped, the scan data reads closed. Circuits are normal, ESIM needs replacement. Recommend new OEM fuel cap, has aftermarket that does have a split in the seal and does not have a vacuum relief built in. Test Oil pressure control system. Found unable to control high/low pressure. Code reset right away. Checked oil, found very low. Had to add 3 quarts. Rechecked pressure control, found dual stage pump now working. Need to recheck when driving. System normal on road test. LOF is overdue and oil is black. Needs LOF. Rad fan running on high and temp keeps going up over 230 degrees. Upper hot not hot, like thermostat is not open. Found radiator low, took 1/4 gallon. Bled air out of thermostat, now opens and cools normally. Temps good on road test. No leaks found. After road test there was zero HC in coolant tank. Relieved pressure in radiator by loosening cap slightly, allowing coolant to flow into tank. Rechecked HC in tank, found 200PPM. Suspect small head gasket leak causing loss of coolant and allowing air to get trapped in thermostat. Inspect Vacuum pump system. When activating the pump with scan tool the relay clicks but not pump operation occurs. Test power and ground at pump and found both normal. Vacuum pump has failed. Airbag light on-Needs diag

    • Manufacturer Specific P0A92
    • Hybrid Generator Performance P1AC6
    • Manufacturer Specific Hybrid processor/motor/generator seem to be the main current issue and faults with the MGU can result in low system voltages as described by the customer. The P0A92-00
    • Hybrid Generator Performance fault code resets without the engine even being started. This code is set by two possibilities: 1) The MGU belt is slipping or otherwise failing. 2) ANY other HCP fault codes. The first step in the diag of this code is to check for other HCP codes, In this case the only other code is P1AC6-00
    • Motor Control Processor A (MCPA) Crankshaft Position Signal Sensor Performance which sets as soon as engine is started. The MGU (which contains the HCP) uses the crank sensor data from the PCM fed over a dedicated comm circuit between the PCM and MGU. Diag routine for this fault states that if there is no crank sensor fault codes in the PCM that the fault must lay in the dedicated comm circuit or in the MGU/HCP itself. Visually inspected the harnesses and connections between PCM and MGU for obvious faults, no issues found. The next step is to perform circuit testing of the comm circuits which will take additional time to perform due to limited access to the MGU connector. If circuit fault is found will need to locate and repair. If no circuit fault is found the MGU will require replacement. New MGU will require full module programming procedure. Also advise to replace the MGU tensioner and belt at the same time. Need about 2 more hours to perform accurate system circuit tests.
    • Removed RF wheel well to gain access to the MGU and harness. Tested resistance on the crank position comm circuit at the MGU with the corresponding pi

    • Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch "A" Low Inspect cooling system operation from cold start. Temp rises normally and heater pipes/hoses heat up and heater will operate continuously, indicating proper water pump flow. Temp continues to rise up into the 230's where the cooling fan comes on and keeps rising. Upper rad hose and radiator never get hot. Infrared temp reading of engine right behind thermostat matches scan reading. Tried to purge air from thermostat bleed, no air present. Something is wrong with the thermostat. Need to remove and inspect and likely replace. Current engine faults are separate concers. Engine oil leaking badly from oil filter cap seal area when cold. Nearly stopped when ht. Suspect o-ring issue. Note rust is an issue on this vehicle, and any issues with oil cooler/housing may lead to replacement and need to deal with fastener removal issues on top of engine.
